SUSTAINABLE

FEED REQUIRED (GRAMS)

WATER (LITRES)

One of the most sustainable protein sources on Earth. Crickets leave minimal environmental impact. Crickets require less feed than alternative proteins. Shown above in grams for 1Kg of product.

To produce 1kg of beef you will need 10kg of feed and 12,000L of water! Compare this to 1Kg of cricket flour which requires 1.8Kg of the abundant Cassava plant and just 1L of water…..

M Turner - What a Revelation

Must admit, was on the fence with the eating whole insect thing, but wanted to take the plunge because I've read so much about how good this kind of stuff is for the environment vs meat. I must say - it is excellent. Mix it in with my post gym shake and get an awesome bump of protein. The packaging comes with a full breakdown of vits and minerals in the product too. If this is the future of eating, I'm 100% on board. Will def buy again!

Alexandra R - Very pleasantly surprised.

I did not ever think I would be eating bugs but here we are. I'm all for helping the environment and finding better ways to do things so trying this seemed like a no brainer. I added it to smoothies (the kids didn't notice) as well as to a batch of cupcakes. It did add a very slight nutty taste that made them even yummier than usual. This is a great idea and if this is what the future holds then I'm all in.

Mark - Good stuff!

I remember reading an article a couple of years ago about crickets being added to bread in some Scandinavian countries. Seems the idea is getting more attention over here now. Having reduced meat consumption to virtually nil I have been experimenting with ingredients to increase my intake of protein and other key nutrients. So far I have made bread, veggie burgers and smoothies. Can’t say I’ve been able to taste any difference but as it’s packed with so many good things I reckon this will be a regular staple for me.
The company’s website has lots of useful information and recipes. Top marks.
