Why Now?
As global food industries continue to produce resource-intensive protein such as meat and dairy, the environmental consequences are becoming more apparent. From excessive use of water, to carbon emissions, the UN is urging us to seek out alternative protein sources. Add this to the health issues caused by poor nutrition and lifestyle, we offer a solution to tackle global and personal challenges.
Why Crickets?
High Protein: Our Vietnamese crickets contain over 70% protein content, serving as a protein-rich alternative to traditional protein sources.
Sustainable: Producing one kilogram of cricket flour requires 2 kg of the abundant natural Cassava as feed and just one litre of water. Compare this to beef, which requires 22,000 litres of water in order to produce the same kilogram. Click below to read the UN food reports.
Well-rounded nutrients: Crickets are high Omegas 3 and 6, Potassium, Calcium and Iron.
Why Vietnam?
This thriving, beautiful and colourful country offers far more than its culinary heritage, stunning landscapes and amazing people. Vietnam offers the perfect climate for growing our crickets and other superfoods. While other producers must use temperature-controlled farming units, our ingredients grow here naturally.
